Poised and powerful, Tea G has a voice beyond her years. This Edmonton-based Pop/R&B artist has a maturity and confidence that is unparalleled by her peers. At just 17 years old her vocal athleticism, passion and elegance have carved her a space as an artist to watch. This Filipino-Canadian philanthropist has been lending her voice to hundreds of charity events over the last seven years. Spotted by seasoned artists like Terrell Edwards and John Cameron, Tea has been given large-scale performance opportunities locally and nationally. Most notable would be opening for artists like Filipino Triple-Platinum pop band Side A, singing duets with Canadian Tenors Mark Masri and Adam Fisher, and opening for Jose Mari Chan and Anne Curtis. In 2015 this tenacious young artist took first place in the Edmonton Talent Competition, then again the following year. At 14 years old, she won the ATB Homegrown Talent Competition at Big Valley Jamboree which granted her the opportunity to open for superstar Carrie Underwood and country/pop artist Sam Hunt. She even took home the BVJ People’s Choice Award! After performing her first paid gig at nine years old, she has been refining her talent doing as many as 75 live performances a year. Since partnering with her manager, Dwayne Marcial, Tea has been planning to release original music for the first time. Produced by Toronto’s Terence (TEE) Lam of Kuya Productions, her first single is set for release in August 2019. TEE, most famous for writing the Billboard-charting single “Here” for Grammy award-winning artist Alessia Cara, co-wrote four tracks with Tea in studio in January. Long-time fans of Tea’s passionate renditions of popular cover songs are in for a treat when they hear her new original music!
